DRAFTING OF TECHNICAL VARIANT EXPERTISE FOR THE ADJUSTMENT OF THE PURIFICATION PLANT IN MONTECCHIO

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INTERVENTION:

The variant appraisal involved the expansion of the purification plant located in loc. Montecchio, so as to serve a future population of 30,000 AE unlike the 10,000 previously treated.

The priority was to create a complete wastewater treatment chain, which was then discharged onto the surface water body.

The appraisal involved the lifting and initial treatment sections, a new configuration of the biological tanks, designed with alternating cycle technology, so as to avoid hydraulic short circuits, as well as the creation of new disinfection compartments with consequent review of the entire piping.

Furthermore, the layout has been enriched with a new mechanical pre-thickening section on the sludge line.

Finally, the booties treatment section was completely revised with the implementation of a sub-vertical grid.

The “main topic” dealt with by the company is the purification of waste water and everything that embraces this topic starting from feasibility studies up to the executive design, also including the drafting of technical / economic documents for participation in design tenders and / or works inherent in the treatment of civil or industrial wastewater and sewer works.

In the variant appraisal in question, in addition to the purification capacity, the management phase of the future treatment plant was safeguarded and taken care of, at the same time enhancing the cost-effectiveness of the work under construction, in order to reinvest the savings generated in new works and / or equipment within this same intervention.

Particular attention was therefore shown both for the achievement of high purification performance through the construction of new tertiary treatment sections, and for the reduction of management costs through the implementation of new sections and mechanical equipment on the sludge line so as to improve dehydration and aerobic stabilization.
