SEWER NETWORK PROJECT OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF PALMI (RC)
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INTERVENTION:
The planned intervention concerned a large area of the Palmi area, which has a population of 19,320 inhabitants, embracing various areas located in the hinterland.
Specifically, new sections of sewerage were created for some areas and neighborhoods of the municipality, which before the execution of this project were completely devoid of sewerage.
In addition, some existing collectors have been restored, which represented critical points for the entire system for conveying the wastewater to the purifier.
Much of the municipal area is made up of a series of hill terraces rapidly sloping down to the sea through a system of cliffs, small beaches and cliffs. Therefore, the particular orography of the area has imposed design choices aimed at limiting the kinetic energy of the wastewater, as well as coastal protection systems.
Furthermore, great attention has been shown not only in the choice of materials, but also in the maintenance interventions, ordinary and extraordinary, often a real limiting factor for the correct management of the sewer sections.
AGQUADRO SRL:
The AGquadro engineering company mainly deals with the design of civil and industrial wastewater treatment plants as well as mixed or separate sewer networks.
In particular, its Technical Director Eng. Filippo Maida boasts in his curriculum various projects in this sense, such as the intervention of Palmi, the subject of this sheet.
